uild in public and share my learning. Turns out building in public requires some level of vulnerability so here I am today. Your girl is struggling, well I was but I’m slowly getting back on my feet. Here’s the backstory, I decided to re-do my mom’s website so I can add a blog, improve the entire interface and help her business grow via SEO as it was currently being underutilized by her competitors. Boy, using wordpress for the first time felt like my first day in further math class and learning about SEO simultaneously felt like learning a new language (PS: I only speak two languages English and pidgin). I regretted my decision initially but I already broke her former website so there’s no going back now (sorry Uncle GP, I know you put a lot of work into it). I finally got a hang of wordpress (enough to do some work with crying for 5 mins), I also have read 3 topics on SEO on MOZ all in 1 week. The goal was to finish the SEO topics on MOZ in one week and start practicing so I’m behind schedule so hopefully this week will be better. For the website, I will be moving to the design side of things. I already have my inspos so I should move fast but the amount of content i have to write has me in pains but Hard things must be done. Here’s a link to the broken website for those interested, lol. Youtube is currently my teacher but it would be nice to have the number of an expert to support me so please tell your friends about the girl who destroyed her Mom’s website. Thank you. It’s a new week and I’m trusting God for 100% productivityI plan to drop an update once every week so help me God. Btw, let’s chat in the comments. Are you learning something new? Are you killing it or it’s killing you? Random update:
- My new favourite meal is Bread Pizza ( sweet and sour sauce spread inside regular bread with fried egg, shredded chicken, and cheese. It’s also toasted so the cheese melts, so yummy.) Shout out to my last sister spoiling me with good food.
- Love again is such a phenomenal movie which made me cry so much over the weekend. My heart goes to everyone who has lost a family member or loved one, you’re strengthened.
Today’s entry doesn’t take the form of an educational blog; instead, it’s more of an update. If you’ve been following my marketing journey, you’re aware that I launched my blog with the intention of building in public and sharing my learning experiences. As it turns out, embracing the concept of “building in public” demands a certain degree of vulnerability. So, here I am today. Yours truly encountered some difficulties recently, although I’m gradually finding my footing again. Allow me to provide some context: I made the decision to revamp my mom’s website, with the aim of incorporating a blog, enhancing the overall user interface, and boosting her business through SEO. To embark on this project, I had to learn how to use WordPress for the first time, which felt as daunting as my initial day in further math class. Moreover, delving into the realm of SEO was akin to immersing myself in a completely foreign language (for the record, I only speak two languages: English and pidgin). At first, I regretted my choice, but I had already inadvertently broken her previous website, so there was no turning back (I apologize, Uncle GP, I know you put a lot of effort into it). Gradually, I began to grasp the basics of WordPress, enough to make some progress without shedding tears for five minutes straight. I also managed to read through three SEO topics on MOZ within a week. My initial goal was to complete all SEO topics in one week and then begin applying what I’d learned, but I’m a bit behind schedule. Hopefully, this week will see me catching up. As for the website, I’ll be shifting my focus to the design aspect. I already have my sources of inspiration lined up, so I should be able to progress swiftly. However, the sheer volume of content I need to create is causing me some distress, but I recognize that challenging tasks must be tackled head-on. For those who are curious, here’s a link to the partially broken website. YouTube has become my teacher of choice, but it would be immensely helpful to have the contact information of an expert who could offer guidance. So, please do spread the word about the girl who inadvertently wreaked havoc on her mom’s website. Thank you. It’s a new week, and I’m placing my trust in God for a 100% productive week ahead. I plan to provide regular updates, aiming for one per week. Please, help me stay accountable. By the way, let’s engage in the comments. Are you currently learning something new? Is it going smoothly, or are you finding it to be a challenging endeavor? In a random update, I’ve recently developed a fondness for Bread Pizza. It involves spreading sweet and sour sauce inside regular bread and topping it with a fried egg, shredded chicken, and cheese. Then, it’s toasted until the cheese melts, creating a delightful combination of flavors. I must give a shout-out to my younger sister for spoiling me with this delectable treat. On a more sentimental note, I watched the movie “Love Again” over the weekend, and it moved me to tears. My heart goes out to anyone who has experienced the loss of a family member or loved one. You are all in my thoughts, and I wish you strength during difficult times. LinkedIn, Apparently building in public requires being vulnerable, and I did just that in my latest blog post where I talked about my struggles with handling wordpress for the first time and delving into the world of SEO. It’s been so tough but i’m learning it’s ok to not get something at one try so we moveee. Let me know if you found any portion of my latest entry relatable, Thank you.
